SignGemma is our most advanced model for sign language understanding. 🧏 As part of our open-model Gemma family, we're making it publicly available later this year. This invites developers, creators, and the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community to build upon our work, adapt it for new sign languages, and shape a more inclusive future. While we have concentrated heavily on American Sign Language (ASL) and its translation to English, SignGemma's foundational design allows it to learn and translate numerous sign languages.
